<image:title>About TEDx - About TEDx</image:title>
<image:caption>About TEDx; x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TED Talks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized. (Subject to certain rules and regulations.)</image:caption>

<image:title>Art Hub - Flash Mob</image:title>
<image:caption>“We wanted to organize a flash mob, but there was one problem – we couldn’t dance!” Enter Emily Regas – not everyone would give up their Sunday afternoon’s to help teach choreography to aspiring dancers but Emily’s flare for movement and extreme sense of fun has helped create a community group who’ve enjoyed moving and learning together. As Vanessa Pollock and I describe it “it’s a Joy bomb!”. Here’s a little about Emily – give her an extra big smile and a high five next time you see her in SOMA she deserves it! Personally I’ll be greeting her with a Dab or perhaps a body roll! Come and clap along – 2pm Spiotta Park, South Orange Sunday 16th February. EMILY REGAS was born in sunny San Diego, CA and moved to New York City to pursue a career as a free-lance dancer. While performing in various modern and tap companies in the city and on tours throughout the country, she discovered the fabulous world of non-profit fundraising and now directs the major gifts program at the United Hospital Fund. Emily is also on the board of the Treehouse Shakers Dance Company and continues to dance with Omega Dance Company. Emily has been married for 12 years to an amazing woman, and they live in South Orange with their two adorable girls. In addition to being a wife, mom, and fundraiser, Emily enjoys volunteering at her church, St. George’s Episcopal Church in Maplewood, taking dance classes, and knitting.</image:caption>

<image:title>Speaker Profiles - EVA WOOLRIDGE - EVA WOOLRIDGE</image:title>
<image:caption>Eva Woolridge, a photographer, explores the sexual, spiritual, and emotional nature of femininity, using lighting and composition to convey strength, perseverance, vulnerability, and vitality, transcending surface-level labels of people of color. Her photographic essays include “Peeled Paint” (2014), conveying her understanding of ego and spirituality, and “Embrace Your Essence” (2015), a series focused on young women's journeys toward self-love —defining what they find beautiful about themselves. Many of the narratives included illnesses, challenges to meet Western standards of beauty, and quirks that once negatively affected their self-esteem. Eva continues to use visual narratives to convey a tone of a new, inclusive wave of feminine energy through her gaze as a queer, woman of color, while commenting on the social & cultural conditions of her communities. Raised in SOMa, she attended Columbia High School, and graduated from the University of Maryland–College Park in 2014.</image:caption>

<image:title>Speaker Profiles - KEITH HUNTER - KEITH HUNTER</image:title>
<image:caption>Keith Hunter is an athlete, entrepreneur, golf instructor, college football coach, and ex-professional football player—but not necessarily in that order. A native of Newark, NJ, Keith was a gifted high school football player. He was recruited by the University of Iowa, where he earned a BA in Communications. Keith went on to play with the NFL, signing on as a free agent for the Cleveland Browns. On the field, Keith found metaphors for life that guided and inspired him off the field as well. When his career with the NFL came to a close, he applied his discipline and drive to other endeavors. After over 5 years of coaching college football, he played golf with his colleagues one day, and instantly fell in love with the sport. Keith immersed himself in golf. But becoming a golf pro wasn’t enough… Keith saw gaps in the market, so he founded KGH Enterprises LLC. Through his corporation, he developed golf clinics, opened golf courses, and created a line of golf clothing. He began speaking publicly, and working with student athletes, golfers, and other entrepreneurs. Keith—a father of six girls—knows first-hand how excelling in sports teaches valuable lessons, and leads to opportunities. He saw that young golfers, girls, and women were being overlooked. Not one to accept the status quo, he opened his clinics to students as young as four years old. And he developed a program, supported by corporate sponsorship, that enabled young girls to learn golf. Keith is always looking for the next challenge, and is committed to inspiring and motivating others.</image:caption>
